A comfortable, safe, and welcoming place to stay allows you to focus on learning, immerse yourself in the local culture, and make the most of your time in Costa Rica. At our school in Santo Domingo de Heredia, we offer two excellent lodging options that cater to different preferences—each designed to enhance your language learning and cultural experience.
Homestay with Local Families
Our homestay program is ideal for students who want full Spanish immersion and a deeper connection to Costa Rican culture. Living with a carefully selected host family gives you daily opportunities to practice Spanish in real-life conversations, while enjoying the warmth and hospitality of a typical Costa Rican home. You'll have a private room, two or three home-cooked meals a day, and the chance to participate in everyday family life. Many of our students form lasting friendships with their host families and consider this the highlight of their stay.
Hotel Bougainvillea
If you prefer a more independent and hotel-style lodging experience, we recommend the beautiful Hotel Bougainvillea, located just minutes from the school. This tranquil, full-service hotel offers spacious rooms with modern amenities, lush gardens, a swimming pool, gym, and on-site restaurant. It's a great option for students who want privacy, comfort, and a quiet space to relax after class—while still being close to everything the program offers.
